Designer: Mikey Smith, @the_pant_surgeon from @columfashion, our third place winner.

-Collection Inspo: "La fleur parfait” is a collection that expresses the ideas of environmental degradation and Anthropocene. Both rely heavily on the interaction between humans and nature, and the impact that humans have on nature. Much like the intertwined paths of these themes, I aim to tell the story of a garden- like habitat; that is simple but complex, and beautifully untouched by man.

It houses a stunning host of plants including the “Perfect Flower,” flora with both male and female reproductive organs, meaning it doesn’t need another flower to reproduce and populate its environment. It is the embodiment of peace, but the organized chaos of man had different plans for it. Men in their power suits, began to destroy the beautiful terrain for their own agenda: industrialization. Over time, however, nature evolves and adapts to the industry man has created in its once beloved habitat, and inevitably nature reclaims and restores the beauty that man formerly stole.

I communicate each section of this story through a singular garment exploring the use of color, structure and movement to represent the relationship between industrialization and environmental evolution, masculine and feminine elements and shapes, and texture through layered paint.

Designer - Yi (Doris) Luo @yiv_vluo from @saicfashiondesign, winner of the Distinguished Designer Award, for retail readiness, judged by the Neiman Marcus team.

-Collection Inspo: With my childhood growing up in China, my parents love to take photos of me and my family. Flipping through and discovering old photo albums planted the seed for starting this collection - “Fragments Of Memory”. I explored memory’s fragile anatomy—its clarity and its decay, its weight and its voids.

Each piece integrates how we are shaped by what lingers and what fades: the vivid shard of a laugh, the blurred silhouette of grief, the negative space where forgetting begins.

Drawing from the instability of recollection, I embrace fragmentation—both visually and thematically. Using fabrics and silhouette designs portraying memories as incomplete and eroded forms - sometimes clear, sometimes disappearing.

"The Spanish Dance" Senior Collection By Albina Ikizli @albina.ikizli - Fashion Innovator Award winner.

-Collection Inspo: What does it mean to shape movement into form? How does structure and foundation define identity?

The Spanish Dance collection explores these questions through a reimagining of tradition, blending heritage with contemporary expression. Inspired by the dynamic interplay between flamenco dancers and mounted performers, this collection transforms the essence of

Spanish equestrian and dance attire into modern women’s business wear.

At its core, this collection is an exploration of feminine masculinity, confidence, and presence.

By merging the structured elegance of men’s vests and hats with the fluidity and passion of flamenco, The Spanish Dance challenges conventional fashion norms. The excitement of

movement, the richness of color, and the precision of structure are all translated into silhouettes

that are both empowering and expressive.

The Spanish Dance collection is a celebration of cultural heritage, reinterpreted for today`s world. It invites women to experience the confidence and poise that comes from wearing garments steeped in tradition yet designed for contemporary life. This collection also speaks to

the deep connection between garment and wearer, much like the silent understanding between dancer and horse. Every element of each outfit serves a purpose, enhancing the experience of the one who wears it. The Spanish Dance is more than a collection; it is a statement—an invitation to

embrace the strength of tradition while stepping boldly into modernity.
